Unhappy php not wordking

I have installed slackware 8.0 with apache and the whole shit. Php is working because i can open the file containing <? phpinfo(); ?> and all other php files but when i want to write to other php files like in a guestbook it doesn't. I set all permission to 777 so that's not the problem.

Here is the phpinfo:

What is the result when you try to browse your php script?
When did you put it (which directory)?
I 've noticed the "--enable-safe-mode" option so maybe it is a reason?
But anyway you shou get any result in web browser when you try to see your php-scripted page.

Result

I do get a result when i open php pages. I shall give a little example:

I have a settings area where i have to fill in a password.
When i enter the password and push the button login it isn't capable of checking if the is correct.

Another example.
When i want to sign a guestbook i fill in all the area's but when i click sign it does nothing because it can't send it's data to an external file.

You need to initialise global variables yourself, php doesn't do it anymore for security reasons.

Smile YEAH

It worked,

Thank You!!!!!!!

There is yet another question:

How do i change permissions to all files in a directory. When i have my files in a dir called php and type:
chmod 777 php it does only give the new permissions to the dir and not to the files in the dir
