PHP 5.1.2 module causing apache to not load

The error I get when trying to run httpd:

Syntax error on line 6 of /etc/apache/mod_php.conf:
Cannot load /usr/libexec/apache/libphp5.so into server: libldap-2.3.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I checked php.ini and adjusted the location of the extensions to point to the correct path and made sure libldap-2.3.so.0 was in there.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any feedback or even reading this post!

Thanks!

did you edit the ld configuration?
ld the dynamic link tool used to find and load shared objects needs to know exactly where the libphp5.so as well as the libldap-2.3.so.0

this is usually the issue if you didn't use the distro package manager to install the php version.

I did use the package manager btw.

ld.conf?

ld.so.conf?

if it is ld.so.conf it looks like so:

/usr/local/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/i486-slackware-linux/lib
/opt/kde/lib

lb means? Library Dependancy?

I'll try putting the file it's looking for in one of these folders and restarting to see what it'll tell me.

... Loading ...

It tells me:

Another file is required now? liblber-2.3.so.0

Let me try this again with this file in there too...
