Photogrammetry

Hi,

I have just joined, having installed Linux for the first time last weekend. I was wondering whether anyone here is involved with photogrammetry, the use of photographs as a source of creating 3d objects? A search on the forums gave no records found, but there may be someone here who has more than a passing interest?

Thanks.

3-d objects would be only one of a zillion applications. I have never worked directly with the techniques, but have been exposed to it numerous times. (Business is building cameras and other instruments for space missions)

Linux would have no special attraction for this community--except maybe that many Scientific workers favor Unix-type systems.

Thanks, maybe somewhere there is some useable open-source photogrammetry software out there...
