Photo Master

I have just bought an Acer Inspire One which has Linpus Linux Lite on it. I have found my way around much of it but I cannot find out how to download photos from my Canon camera with a flash card. When i plug in the USB connector nothing happens. Can anyone tell me, in very simple terms, how to do this before I wimp out and go for Microsoft?

Welcome to LQ!

Read your Canon manual and see if it shows you the difference
between using the camera as USB and PTP. Otherwise, you might
need some software such as digikam, or something else.
