Permissions: lock a user up

Lets say I have three groups, one for root and two for users. One of the user-groups are allowed in mostly part of the system to read and somewere write.

The other group should only be allowed in the /home/user/-directory and not even have read access or being able to cd to another directory anywhere then in the /home/user-dir.

How can I lock a group up like this so they only are allowed in their home-dirs and still grant access to both the root-group and the "high" user-group?

nope. If you lock them to thier home directorys, they wont be able to access _anything_ outside. that also means they wont be able to read anything in /bin or /usr/bin, and so on. end result, they login, they have a prompt, and then they cant do anything.

They won't even have a prompt: they wont be able to access /bin/bash

I beleive people use 'jailshell' for this purpose. Look on google for more info.
