Permission problem running firefox

Hi.

I just installed Mandrake 10 and most things are working well, but I've got a bit of a problem with permissions to run mozilla firefox. It installed fine using urpmi (after su to be root) and runs OK logged in as one of the normal users I've set up on the machine, but when logged in as the other user it won't start. I presume it's a permissions problem since it'll run either as root or one of my users, but I don't know what or where to check to sort it out.

Thanks a lot for your help!

1. Do you have writing permission to the display? If you 'su' to a user while running X as another, you'll likely lack access to the screen.
2. Just to make sure it's not a (mis)configuration problem, remove the ~/.phoenix, .mozilla-firebird and .firefox dirs from non-working user home
3. run mozilla-firefox from command prompt, you may get useful error messages.
