Thanks a lot!!!! Will let you know if any help is needed......btw will "retval = select(0, NULL, NULL, NULL, &tv); " won't return if stdin got any input or what shibeaux posted " retval = select(0, &rfds, NULL, NULL, &tv); " won't return?

Yeah with the help from that book. I know it's lacking comments. Gotta fix that. Let me know if u have any questions.

Hi,

I need some help regarding oprofile in Linux. Will I be able to see how many times a function has been called and how much time is spent in each function using oprofile???? Thanx in advance.....
