Peppermint OS

I was reading about peppermint OS and it looks really cool. However it talked a lot about online apps and such. Will this OS be useless without the internet? Because I was wondering if I could install this on my offline machine. any help would be appreciated.

You would need internet access for installing certain inbuilt non cloudbased applications but this guy said.

But at the same time, this isn’t a cloud-only system. Because it’s Lubuntu based, you can install as much (or as little) software as you want onto your hard drive. If you are without internet access, you aren’t at a loss; you can run a locally-installed editor, game, or word processor. It’s hard to believe, but Peppermint really seems to have given us the best of both worlds – cloud-centered apps, yet the ability to function well offline also.

Basically, you will have to install apps no installed by default for "off-cloud". You saw it hear first folks, the first use of the word off-cloud. :)
