Is it easy to install/uninstall packages in peanut Linux ? Can I add apt-get to peanut linux ? What is the size of a full install of Peanut Linux ? What are the shortcommings of peanut linux ? Thank You.
AFAIK, its not very hard to install. I think the base install can come to around 55megs total... but it can grow to any size, depending on how many packages you install, etc.
I'm sure with some configuration and hacking, you could get apt-get installed, afterall, all distro's are the same when you break them down really....
Sorry, I missed this. IBM Aptiva, 333Mhz, 4G HD, 156 RAM, 56K Modem.
Mandrake would not load. Red Hat KDE was very poor performance. However, Knoppix with KDE works excellent. Hope this helps others who try to answer my question.

This is a very important and true remainder. Thank You. However, I couldn't get Mandrake 9.1 to install well and load KDE on my machine after even several attempts to configure etc., On the other hand, Knoppix KDE works like a breeze. Hence, I feel that some Distros are made to work better on some PCs than others.
