PCLinuxos cdrom problems..
 
Hello!
installed PCLinuxos 2010 & everything works great out of the box....but
when I enter a dvdisc or regular one...it cant read it...when I click on the "CD-RW/DVD±RW Drive" in it sais "unable to mount location,cant mount file"..please help!

Did you install PC/OS using this drive? What is your hardware configuration. I may not be able to help you, but if you supply this information it may allow others to discern the source of your problem.

Yes,i've installed it using this cd rom drive...
my pc specs:
Pentium 4
120gb hd
radeon x700
Gigabyte 915PL motherboard

dont know if this is related to my problem though...
please if anyone knows why I cant use my cd rom please tell me.
and what should i do

I haven't used PC/Linux OS very much, but could it be a permission problem? Usually it says "Permission denied" then but it might be worth a try mounting as root.

As root:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /media/cdrom
(assuming the /media/cdrom folder exists and is empty).

I think I've seen in other distributions that the CD/DVD is called "sr0", but that might depend on the type of CD-drive.
