PCI: BIOS BUG on Ubuntu 7.04 Install

Good day,

Have just installed Ubuntu 7.04 on my FS Amilo 1705 Li and, as I reboot the system, I got
Code:
[ 0.183221] PCI: BIOS BUG #81[49435000] found
[ 0.434062] PCI:Failed to allocate mem resource #6:10000@c0000000 for 0000:0
1:00.0
And after, system would continue loading and log me on.

Would you please assist me in understanding why that message and how to get rid of it?

Thanks

Check whether there is a BIOS update available from the motherboard builder.

Thanks, Jay

Updated the BIOS to the latest (1.0D) version, but nothing changed. Any other idea?

The message can be ignored (unless you are actually having issues with one of you pci devices, of course), it won't break anything. Probably the kernel probing for a feature that is not implemented by your BIOS. I hear that the message no longer appears with a 2.6.20+ kernel so it should go away after the next kernel update. Or maybe when Gutsy comes out, I doubt whether there will be any more kernel updates for Feisty.

Thanks again, man. The computer indeed works properly. Hoping the issue will be solved after the 2.6.20 kernel.
