Question Path To KDE Application

Hello.

I've installed TightVNC on my Red Hat 8.0 box and when I logged in to my computer using VNC, I was in X Windows but no KDE or anything. I assume that since X is started and running with a terminal window, I should be able to start KDE, but it is not in the path. I even tried 'which kde' and got nothing. So is it possible the start KDE or even Gnome from an X prompt? If so, what is the path to the application?

Thanks,
Kevin
