Patching Atmelwlandriver

hummm here's the scenario, I'm following the instructions on this page where it tells me to go get the patch. I got the patch and am currently trying to patch the driver.

Problem is when I get into atmelwlandriver and type in 'patch - p0 < /path/to/patch.diff' I get the error 'bash: /path/to/patch.diff: No such file or directory' the patch, iwconfig-stats.diff was put on my desktop but according to the instructions it wouldn't matter where I downloaded it to.

Can anyone help with this?
