patching

I just "inherited" 2 rhel 4u8 servers and was asked to patch them. We don't have an active subscription to RHN. Is there a way I can download patch bundles?

No.

If you want RHEL updates/patches/etc., you need a RedHat subscription. No way around it, especially since you're looking for patches.

If you cannot afford the subscription switch to Centos. Centos is RHEL minus the logos. As it has no paid support there is no cost($). Install and update access is free.
