Password not accepted for fresh installed Ubuntu 14.04 on VMWare

I just downloaded the Ubuntu 14.04 Iso from the official website and installed it on my VMWARE.
At the installation procedure i had to enter a Full Name, username and password, and i even had to confirm the password.
However. After the installation has finished, i had to login with my password. But it keeps saying "Invalid password, please try again".

I made sure that NUM Lock is on and Caps Lock turned off, I even deleted my installation and tried it again. But i still get this message.

Thanks in advance for any help!

This did not worked either.

Edit: Now it worked, it was because the keyboard layout was set to English instead of german, everytime when i typed a "z" it really typed a "y".

There is neither a 'z' nor 'y' in "_n00b" j/k.
Good catch and good job.
