Password free for watching media
Hi,
Having just installed Mint 15 Cinnamon, I have set up PC to access shares from a windows server. I'm trying to make the use of this PC so simple a monkey could do it. kids want to watch media from the server; without having to enter passwords. I have the user account set to automatically log in, but I keep getting asked for a "keyring" password. How do I stop this? thanks Tanya |
If the Mint box is asking for a keyring password, try running the command with sudo and NOPASSWD.

These may apply to your situation... http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=62461 http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=21071 http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopi...18891&p=686639 apparently, you can de-install gnome-keyring but it may leave your system in a vulnerable state (vulnerable from user abuse/misuse) |
