password control/login list
 

small business owner. just started using a linux server. have a software co. that oversees and maintains software. I want control and want to know when they login to my server. is this possibe? i own the system entirely. Thank you, smbiz

There are various ways, depending on the setup and your knowledge of eg bash.
A basic way would be to add a cmd in /etc/profile to send an email to you each time someone logs in. I believe there is a fairly recent thread in LQ with a similar qn; http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-email-798518/
