Partitioning a windows drive for Slack 9.1 using cfdisk or fdisk

I am trying to take my 80gig HD and take 20gigs off it it just for linux.. I have to do this in fdisk or cfdisk, cfdisk appears like it will be easier to do it in. WHat I am looking at now shows hda1 the 82335.06MB HD, the FS Type says NTFS.. then I have another drive, with no name and no flags, it says FS Type is Free Space and it said Size is 8.23MB..

Any ideas of what I should do next?

Use partition magic to resize your 80gb ntfs partition to 60gb. Install linux on remaining 20gb. You'll need a swap partition and a / partition. Create these with fdisk or cfdisk. I would install lilo or grub to the superblock (not MBR) and use the your current bootloader, but thats just what i would do...
