Partitioning

#1 The problem here is that I only made my "/" mount point partition 2gb and my "/home" partition 10GB. Will I need more space on my "/" partition for installing applications? If I do is there a way i could resize both partitions and transfer space from "/home" to "/"?

#2 What would be the most recommended FTP and Web Editing Tools?

Thanks in advance.

Using Mandrake 9.2
KDE 3.1 Eviroment

I've never used it myself but parted can resize partitions

You could always add more partitions later

If for example /usr/ is taking up much space you could add another partition and mount it for that folder.

I am not sure if and how the files are transfered to the new partition though, perhaps a reboot?
