Partition Visibility to Windows
Hello,
I have a hard drive that has Win XP on it and I want to add a logical partition (ext3) to install Linux. And then have a VFAT32 logical partition after that and another ext3 partition for the Linux swapfile. /hda1 -> Win XP NTFS primary partition /hda2 -> Linux ext3 logical partition /hda3 -> VFAT32 partition /hda4 -> Linux ext3 swapfile The problem I am wondering about is whether or not Win XP will be able to see the VFAT32 parition. When I used OS/2, Windows could not. I was just wondering if Win XP will bypass the partitions format that it does not recognize and go on instead of stopping there. Thank you Philip |
Course it'll see the vfat partition :) That's why a lot of dual-booters have one, cause both OSes will have full access to it.

I thought that was the case but I wanted to be sure before I did anything so that I didn't have to go back and redo it. Thaks agian Philip |
