Partition help

Ok actually this help is for my hubbys computer. Yesterday he partition his hard drive so he could put Redhat Linux 9 in it. He has XP OS well he did it and Linux installed just fine but Linux OS is the one that boots up first cause he messed up when he Partition it so it could be the first instead of second. Well his problem is now he can't find the partition in Linux. It can't find it so he can get back to XP. Some please help. Cause with our router he cant get on the net either so he is stuck. What should we do?

Did he install Grub as the bootloader? If so, do a search (in all forums) for "Grub and WIndows XP" and you should be able to find the answer you need. It sounds to me like his bootloader simply does not contain the Windows XP info needed to boot it. You could try some of the things listed in this thread:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...t+boot+windows

But that may be a bit too much right away.

If he is using Lilo as his bootloader, then search for "Lilo and Windows XP"

Either way, the answer is already here somewhere, so don't dispair...

Good luck!
