partition


Hi,
I have a disk(500gb)
I would like to make 7 partition for that disk.
what is the process to be followed

If you're familiar with command lines, then use command parted (man parted for more info)

To parition with gui, then you need a graphical editor like gparted or kde-partition editor. please name your distro

If there is no OS installed yet there, you can use a live cd for system rescue and use Gparted. A graphical tool that you will most probably find easier to than windows applications.
