I'm running w2k [NTFS] and was given a copy of mandrake 7.0 to try. I wanted to share some mp3s between both Os so when mandrake asked (under recommended install path) to create a file system I pressed auto-allocate. Then clicked on the last partition (/home) and then resized it smaller. Selecting the remaining free area I created a 'windows 98 fat' partition.I ok'd this selection and it wrote the changes with no errors.
However when I boot Linux I get an error pointing to hdc8 (which is the 'windows fat' partition) saying wrong file system or various other errors. Booting windows it doesn't show any filesystem or partitions on the HDD at all.....
What did I do wrong and/or whats the best way to rectify this!
Thanks in advance
