Parallel port setup
 
How would I go about setting up Linux via a parallel port connection with another Linux system? I have Linux installed on my laptop now, but because I had to install it on another system, it isn't set up properly to my current system. How would I go about stringing a parallel port cable to another computer and then invoking Mandrake 9 setup over that cable? Is there a HOWTO on that?

The magic word/acronym you're looking for would be PLIP. You can do this with serial lines (the normal way, a 'null modem') and it uses SLIP. Check out TLDP for howtos on the subject:
