Question

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I have an external 56k US-Robotics modem that works
from a parallel port.

I have not been able to find that this is supported in
the How-To's nor Mini-How-To's.

Do I have to buy another modem with a serial port?

I'm not sure if it is or not. I don't know which device you would have to point to in /dev to detect it. Have you tried it already? Would it not be possible to get a serial connector? I know that my old 28k external modem had both a parallel port and a serial connector. Surely you could do the same? Just a thought??
