Question PAP failure


Hi everyone,
first time on this board.
I just wanted to know if there is any specific reason why my PAP with my isp fails everytime through linux.I had to boot to windows just to post my message
my password is being sent properly though......anything would be a great help to get rid of windows!!!!

Perhaps your isp doesn't use pap. Check.

well I check the 'details' on my windows dialup software, and it says tcp/ip and pap.is that enough assurance?
