Panic: e-mail pop server does not work
I have set up a CentOS server with exim, vexim and dovecot. I got it all working a few days ago, but now when I have changed the dns pointers it does not work anymore.
I can connect and recieve e-mails via pop client. I can recieve e-mails that are sent within the server, but not when it has been sent from outside the server. I have looked in /var/log/messages, /var/log/maillog and /var/log/exim/main.log but none of them gives me info what is wrong. Any ideas how to solve this?? |
Change your DNS back, does it work?

I have tried, but my ISP takes so long to update the records... But it worked on my previous server, so the problem is this new one.
I suppose the problem is vexim, that the e-mail is not routed to the correct user. Do you know if there any log I can look in to have some more info? I'm also open to reinstalling the whole pop server, if you think that is better. |
I have tried to send e-mail from another server within the network to this new server, and that works.
Maybe it's a DNS issue afterall? |
