Franks Corner isn't going to help him, the problem isn't missing dlls the problem is a known bug in the winehq version of Mozilla ActiveX.

What you need to do is edit the system registry and add the lines:
[Software\\Wine\\shdocvw] 1089668326
"MozillaUrl"="http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/MozillaControl16.exe"

it'll still look like it's coming from winehq, but will in fact be downloading a different version. It might fail the first time, just reload paltalk after it fails and finishes, and do it again, you won't get the message.

The problem I'm having with paltalk is that I can't join rooms or add pals. If anyone has more experience with this issue, I'm dying for an answer!!

It might be a good idea to either mail Frank's Corner or WineDB with this info so other users might benefit. In my experience Frank's Corner has always been a valuable resource, but I've never used PalTalk so I don't know in this case; simply provided what looked like a detailed link.

I recently installed Wine & Paltalk and having the same issue when I start paltalk. I can't seem to join rooms or add users. If I choose to search for either, it just keeps searching or time out.

Did you find a fix for this? If so would you post it?

Thnx.

In your home directory you should have .wine (with . at the beginning). Register files are inside, they end with .reg, you probably need user.reg
