Pacman question

Hi, just a quick question about the pacman package manager. Is it possible to get it working under say opensuse? I have used that in the past and really like how it works and wouldn't mind trying it under another OS. Any one try it, or have any thoughts?

In general, packages managers are tied to a particular distribution. What the package manager does--among other things--is to keep all the dependencies "in sync". You will notice when using pacman with arch linux, that almost anything you install is accompanied by other stuff. This is the result of the package manager keeping track of what is on you system, and what will be needed for the new SW you have selected.
In theory, it may be possible to make pacman work with SUSE. In practice, I'll bet it would be more trouble than it's worth.
