Package installation errors?

I'm installing Mandrake 9.1 and have been having some troubles with it. So far on this attempt I haven't had any real trouble but what I did was installed all the packages that it listed in the setup figuring that it was better to install all until I knew enough about this OS to know what I do and don't need, but I keep getting package installation errors. What is the cause of them and can I install them later and why does Mandrake come with 2 other CD's? Thanks for your help.

what are the errors you are getting? maybe your cd is corrupted, check it. you cant fit all the applications on a single cd so there are two additional cd's.

The errors I'm getting are "There was an error installing (whatever package) do you want to continue?"

P.S. do you think it could be my CDROM itself because it has errors for different packages everytime?

Thanks all for the help, it turned out it was the CD drive. I switched and everything worked great.
