Owner/Group showing numerical values in NFS client

NFS Client:-

I am facing issues with my nfs share (NFSV3), /test1 which is exported from NSA &
running oracle application on it,while creating a file in /test1 share, I am getting the owner & group as "4294967294" & if try to change permission even from root user, it gives error as "Operation not permitted".
NFS client is rhel 5.8

NFS Server (NAS):-

export options in NAS for /test1 is uxfs, perm,rw

Also, I had found that, "service rpcidmapd start" should be started for name mapping daemon but its for NFS4.

Any assistance or pointer.

See NFS Chapters here http://www.linuxtopia.org/online_boo...ion/index.html.
One of the key points is that it depends on matching uid/gid NOT username/groupname (think DNS name -> IP)

but my question is whether rpcidmapd is used in NFS v3 for mapping uid/gid.
