Overwritten MBR


Hi,

I had Oracle Unbreakable linux 4(i.e. RHEL 4) clone in one partition. Yesterday I installed Debian 3.2 in another partition and while installation I over written the MBR.

Now I am seeing a new Grub bootlaoder and Oracle unbreakable linux is listed, but it fails to boot. When I investigated it, I did not find
"initrd" command for booting Oracle unbreakable linux.

How do I fix this?? Should I install Oracle Unbreakable linux again??!!

Mount the partition containing the Oracle install (specifically, the /boot directory). Look in the /boot directory on that partition. You will need entries in you new menu.lst that correspond to what you find here.
