squid is an HTTP proxy. it has no business being involved in a connection to a mail server.

Typically you just let them have direct access to the specific endpoints. A mail client only needs to reach one remote mail service per account, compared to needing access to potentially millions and millions of web servers.

There are mail proxying services out there. nginx can proxy imap, and also you can probably configure squid to just allow connect methods to start an ssl connection to an arbitrary endpoint, but you'd need to change the port numbers around etc. It's really not something that's typically done.

need to configure ip

bro you need to configure ip adress in firewall.conf

your local IP shud b the same as in firewall.conf

go to..................vi /etc/firewall.conf

e.g: your eth0 ip is 192.168.0.250

find there

/192.168.0/24

class should be the same as your internal LAN ip address.

Maddyy
