Out of Range Video Message on Boot Up Fedora 6
I tried some of the other posts to edit the xconf file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf)to change the resolution. Two things one I cannot find how to edit the file. Everytime I try to edit the file I get an unrecognized command error. Also I tried some other things I had found via the site like booting using the linux resolution=800x600 command. No luck there either. Next I booted to the rescue disc trying to change the configuration. No luck again.
I get an "out of range" message on my monitor once I get past the " Press I for Interactive Setup" menu.
If anyone could give me an idea how to address this issue I would greatly appreciate it. New to Linux, have some other successful installations but I am still not that familar with commands and the whole boot up process, run levels, etc.
Thanks in advance!!!
