Unhappy Opera 6.03 cannot surf~~~~~``


i just install opera 6.03 but i can surf the net? y?? my sys is already connect to the net.........

only in Opera or in all browsers? Check if you have a valid dns nameserver in /etc/resolve.conf If so maybe its your firewall.
Can you ping different IP's?

i on cable.......able to surf on netscape and lyxn.......but not on opera~

Ok so that means your nameserver is fine. And since you can surf with other browsers its not your firewall either. Go snif fthrough opera preferences and see if you can find something there. What error does Opera give when you try to go to a site?

Is there a big difference between 6.02 and 6.03 version?

Never tried 6.02, you could go read the changelogs to find out...

there was no error prompt.......just that the webby never loads.....also connecting.......

If you cant find anything in Opera preferences, maybe its some kind of bug (Since my opera 6.03 has some funny bugs) But when i close and re-open Opera it usually works good again. Or maybe try to start Opera from a terminal and see if it gives any debug info. If nothing works then you might try to remove it and install an older version to see if that one would work.

that leads me to believe it is simply loading the images. Opera has the (somewhat ennoying) habit of wanting to load every single image before displaying your page. Try hitting the stop button and see if it displays.
