OpenSUSE vs. Centos
I am trying to get a server with a predictive dialer set up. Right now, I am hesistating between Vicibox and Goautodial.
The main difference is that the underlying flavor of linux is OpenSUSE in one and CentOS in the other. Which one is better and why? I'm gonna be using this on an old P4. |
Both are very good products. Both are intended to be run on servers generally and not old p4 desktops. So from that point I can't see using either. Might look to an older kernel distro???
|
Both should run fine on a P4. Are you going to use a GUI? If so, Gnome2 on CentOS will be less demanding than KDE on SUSE. Also, remember that OpenSUSE is the testbed for an enterprise distro, while CentOS is an enterprise distro.
