OpenSUSE, virtual PC, rsync problem
 
Hello!

I recently resized and repartitioned by virtual PC-drive in openSUSE. The drive works fine, except for rsync, which seems to fail by giving me the message:

ssh_exchange _identification: Connection clsoed by remote host.
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver]
rsync: unexplained error (code 255) at io.c(459) [receiver=2.6.8]

Can anybody help me? The drive appears to work fine, only not in rsync!

I've only ever seen that error when rsync wasn't installed/running on the remote host. Have you tried checking the logs there for clues too?

I'm afraid that is sort of impossible, because it's at the USGS ;) But I solved my problem: I resized my partition, but forgot to format it afterwards :scratch:
