Thumbs up OpenSuSe Updation

Hello,

I am currently having OpenSuSe ver 10.2

I want to upgrade to 11.4. Do I need to do this by downloading the image and freshly install/upgrade from there. Is there no menu or option available to download and update when the Gnome is running?

Regards,

No, there isn't. Especially from 10.2 to 11.4...that's way to big a jump.

If you want the best stability and the easiest way to go from 10.2 to 11.4, then I'd suggest downloading the .ISO image, burning it to DVD, and doing a fresh install. Take advantage of ext4, too, when you format your drive.

It goes without saying that you need to make SURE you back your data up first.
