openSuse doesn't save my display resolution

Hi Guys

I tried to install openSuse today but unfortunately it doesn't save my screen resolution. So each time I login I need to change it which is very annoying.

Well there is a youtube movie:

But they have a check box adjusts screen settings on startup. I wish I would have that box. Also when I change the screen resolution manually the taskbar doesn't change it sizes.

Thanks for your help

Have you tried...

If you open a terminal with root privileges, you can enter console mode with the command "init 3", stopping X. There will be a prompt where you can log in as "su", giving the root password, then type "sax2 -r" to reconfigure your graphics card and screen. The command "init 5" starts X and gives you the desktop.

The sax2 X11 configuration window will allow you to open Options, Change, and pop-down menus if the sax2 automatic configuration isn't correct.
