OpenSuse 11 & WLAN [HELP!]
 

Well I installed Opensuse on my HP Pavilion dv6000 about two weeks ago and absolutely love it. It's the first PC Linux that I have used, the only others I have experience with are a few variations of iPod Linux. Anyways I'm still pretty new to the structure of Linux and how applications are installed.

Specifically I need help with my wireless card which appears to be an Atheros AR5007, which as I understand will need to be taken care of using madwifi. Well I was hoping someone could post the EXACT packages I will need to install for this card to get my wireless up and running, as well as some detailed instructions. I know there is many tutorials that explain how to do this but none seem to give enough detail to me and have all given me trouble so something dummy proof would be great. I'm quite advanced with Windows but Linux is completely new :scratch:

Also I REALLY need help with this as at the moment my laptop has a multiboot of Vista and Opensuse. I have to start summer courses for college soon and would like to wipe Vista completely off my system as I'm fed up with any version of Windows other than 95.

All and any help is greatly appreciated :)

tried this. I am a newbie too but tried a bit of research and I am pretty sure you know this one but just for the sake of it.
