OpenSuse 11.1 do not mount CDrom or USB pen drive Hal daemon problem reported

Hi All
I upgrated my Suse box from 10.* to 11.1. The problem (big problem) is that cd rom and usb drive are not mounted automatically and the system reported a Hal daemon error message.
Thank you for help

Configuration for HAL is in the file preferences.fdi, likely at /etc/hal/fdi/policy/preferences.fdi. Between the <deviceinfo></deviceinfo> tags, look for entries regarding your devices and delete the entry for each device that don't automount.
Code:

Code:
<device>
   <match key="block.device" string="/dev/sda1">
      <merge key="volume.ignore" type="bool">true</merge>
   </match>
</device>
Restart computer and hopefully all devices attched will be automounted

In that case look in /etc/fstab. Find the entries for cdrom and USB. They may be commented off. If so uncomment them( remove the # mark at the beginning of the corresponding entries). May be if you can copy and paste contents of /etc/fstab your next post if you still find it difficult to solve.
