Openssl add-on module fails

I am a new administrator and am running SLES 11 on a VM. I have openssl installed, but when I attempt to compile an add-on module to Nginx I get the following list of errors:

I have attempted to install openssl-devel which is libopenssl-devel. I get this message:

warning: libopenssl-devel-0.9.8h-28.7.1.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 RSA/SHA256 signature: NOKEY, key ID 3dbdc284

file /usr/include/openssl/opensslconf.h from install of libopenssl-devel-0.9.8h-28.7.1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package libopenssl-devel-0.9.8h-30.11.i586

did you install openssl/openssl-devel from the official repository? you should stick to official packages and tools, if you can. apart from the version mismatch, i see that you're also mixing 32-bit and 64-bit packages.
