Please visit rpmfind.net and search for openssh. You'll get a large number of packages, version 3.7.1 is included. It's important to know which dstribution your have, because the packages must match your distro.

May I ask why not newer version?

open ssh installation

Hi i got the rpm package from the site which you gave me. But it doesnt specify if its an openssh server package or not. If i want to install this package rpm -ivh openssh... is sufficient, will it overwrite the previous version of openssh.

Thankyou for ur previous reply.

Bye

It has both client and server and will overwrite the old one.

You need to install openssl earlier.
