Openoffice.org blocked


Hi all,

Now on my fresh installed and working RH 8.0 box every time I lauch openoffice.org it remains blocked and all I can do is restarting the system. Any idea on how i could make it work again?

What do you mean? What error messages are you seeing?

Well it's quite simple : I just click on its icon on the nav bar and then it shows the first screen and then nothing.

I can't kill it (basically because I don't even know what to kill in the command line mode.

I have installed OpenOffice.org 1.1 (I had 1.01) and both work now...I don't know why. But it's OK.

RH 8.0 had some problems (which were fixed in 9.0) so it may be that it was merely a peculiarity of that version. I can say that I never experienced any problems - but I may have just been lucky .
