Opening Kword in MS Word trouble

Created a doc in Kword, sent it to myself and need to open it with Word 2000. I tried saving it as .doc or .txt but just gives me garbage.

I thought Word would just open it up, recognizing the .kwd extension.

Save it as Rich Text Format (rtf).

Unfortunately, that didn't work either. Still garbage. Tried to open with both Word and Notepad. Saved it with .rtf

As I thought about this again...I am sorry, you meant in KWord, save it as .rtf? I could try that when I get home. Any way to open it here now with the .kwd though?

Thanks.

Yes, when you're in KWord, save your file as rtf. This way you should be able to open it in M$ Word (there's no way you can open a .kwd file in Word).

Great, thanks. I will try it at home.
