openGL??

Ok! I've done some DirectX programming in Windows and I want to do OpenGL stuff in linux( I don't want to use Mesa)
I use RedHat 8. How do I get the openGL information?
In windows we create a Windows class and draw stuff in that window.(DC)
That about in Linux?
Thanks

Also look into GLUT. It's a little more difficult to use than SDL, but not much, and it's a little more portable.
