Question open suse 10.3 work but no sound


I have success installing linux open suse 10.3. at my computer but there is no sound come out. all the program look like normal. there is no problem.
the sound device is detected as :
MC P67 High Definition Audio

anyone can help what do i have to do?

You have to determine the exact chipset your sound card uses. What is the output of
Code:
/sbin/lspci | grep -i audio
Also run alsamixer and make sure that the volumes e.g. PCM and Front are not muted.
