I checked and my Flash player in in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, maybe openSUSE is different.

Or, try creating /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and putting the Flash player there.

I have been gone a few days and started back on this.
Started terminal tried to copy libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/browser-plugins Wouldn't let me do it.
Logged in as root did a mv of libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser-plugins

Closed all open browers and reopened and did not work.

Then rm of libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser-plugins
executed the mv liblfashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser-plugins.
closed all browsers and did a reboot.

Still did not work and here is my terminal screen.
sam@linux-kzhj:~> cd /usr/lib/browser/plugins
bash: cd: /usr/lib/browser/plugins: No such file or directory
sam@linux-kzhj:~> cd /usr/lib/browser-plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> ls
javaplugin.so libflashplayer.so nphelix.so nphelix.xpt
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> libflashplayer.so
Segmentation fault
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> ls libflashplayer.so
libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> cksum libflashplayer.so
2741030277 11951040 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> cd /usr/lib/mozilla
bash: cd: /usr/lib/mozilla: No such file or directory
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins>

I guess opensuse has a different directory setup than others. Still going to try some other things. Now seems both browsers firefox and opera lost flash player.

Again Thank You

Sam

After doing some homework. I have libflashplayer.so in 3 locations.
sam@linux-kzhj:~> cd /usr/lib/flash-plugin
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/flash-plugin> ls
homecleanup libflashplayer.so LICENSE README setup
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/flash-plugin> cksum libflashplayer.so
2809408590 10291000 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/flash-plugin> cd /usr/lib/opera/plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/opera/plugins> ls
libflashplayer.so README
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/opera/plugins> cksum libflashplayer.so
2809408590 10291000 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/opera/plugins> cd /usr/lib/browser-plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> ls
javaplugin.so libflashplayer.so nphelix.so nphelix.xpt
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> cksum libflashplayer.so
2741030277 11951040 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins>

Using two web browsers firefox and Opera. I am thinking about logging in as root
rm libflashplayer.so from /flash-plugin and /plugins directories

mv libflashplayer.so from Desktop to those directories.

Somehow they are interrelated.

Thank You

Sam

I have replaced all libflashplayer.so except for one.

sam@linux-kzhj:~> cd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
bash: cd: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins: No such file or directory
sam@linux-kzhj:~> /usr/lib64/browser-plugins
bash: /usr/lib64/browser-plugins: is a directory
sam@linux-kzhj:~> cd /usr/lib64/browser-plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/browser-plugins> ls
npwrapper.libflashplayer.so npwrapper.nphelix.so npwrapper.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/browser-plugins> ls -l
total 152
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 72808 2008-12-21 15:27 npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 72808 2007-12-09 13:18 npwrapper.nphelix.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 51 2007-12-09 13:18 npwrapper.so -> ../../lib/nspluginwrapper/x86_64/linux/npwrapper.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/browser-plugins>

When looking at aboutlugins in firefox this is the only one listed.
/usr/lib64/browser-plugins nwrapper.liblashplayer.so
Could I mv libflashplayer.so /usr/lib64/browser-plugins.libflashplayer.so
and have it piggyback npwrapper?

I read somewhere I could just delete the npwrapper.libflashplayer.so and install the new one.

They said npwrapper is not needed with Flash 10.
I am so close to getting this fixed All other libflashplayers.so(s) have been updated.

Thank You

Make a /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory. Like this:

Code:
mkdir -p /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
Then try putting the Flash plugin there.

Spent sometime looking a few things up:

sam@linux-kzhj:~> whereis mozilla
mozilla:
sam@linux-kzhj:~> whereis firefox
firefox: /usr/bin/firefox /usr/lib64/firefox /usr/bin/X11/firefox /usr/share/man/man1/firefox.1.gz
sam@linux-kzhj:~> cd /usr/lib64/firefox
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/firefox> ls
browserconfig.properties greprefs plugins
chrome icons readme.txt
components libmozjs.so res
defaults libxpcom_compat.so run-mozilla.sh
dictionaries libxpcom_core.so searchplugins
extensions libxpcom.so updater
firefox-bin libxpistub.so updater.ini
firefox.sh mozilla-xremote-client xpicleanup
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/firefox> cd /usr/lib64/firefox/plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/firefox/plugins> ls
libnullplugin.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/firefox/plugins>

I spent sometime just looking for directories never found anything for mozilla. I am running an old firefox because new one can't run on my outdated kernel. Going to move libflashplayer.so to plugins tomorrow. Just too tired now. Odd thing is Opera has lost flash too It could see Flash9. And I have libflashplayer.so in all of the plugin directories. I could only find it in 4 directories

Thank You
Sam

Outdated kernel?

I thought the package manager should take care of that.

I moved the libflashplayer.so. Both Firefox and Opera see no flash. Here is my terminal screen:

sam@linux-kzhj:~> cd /usr/lib/flash-plugin
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/flash-plugin> ls
homecleanup libflashplayer.so LICENSE README setup
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/flash-plugin> cksum libflashplayer.so
2741030277 11951040 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/flash-plugin> cd /usr/lib/opera/plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/opera/plugins> ls
libflashplayer.so README
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/opera/plugins> cksum libflashplayer.so
2741030277 11951040 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/opera/plugins> cd /usr/lib64/browser-plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/browser-plugins> ls
libflashplayer.so npwrapper.nphelix.so npwrapper.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/browser-plugins> cksum libflashplayer.so
2741030277 11951040 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/browser-plugins> cd /usr/lib/browser-plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> ls
javaplugin.so libflashplayer.so nphelix.so nphelix.xpt
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> cksum libflashplayer.so
2741030277 11951040 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> cd /usr/lib64/firefox-plugins
bash: cd: /usr/lib64/firefox-plugins: No such file or directory
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib/browser-plugins> cd /usr/lib64/firefox/plugins
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/firefox/plugins> ls
libflashplayer.so libnullplugin.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/firefox/plugins> cksum libflashplayer.so
2741030277 11951040 libflashplayer.so
sam@linux-kzhj:/usr/lib64/firefox/plugins>

I am guessing now the problem is pointing the browsers to "see" it.
Been at this for almost a month. What can I try next?

Thank You all
Sam

WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO LISTEN???

Code:
$ su
# mkdir -p /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
# cp wherever/you/put/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
