Well for one, you can read the code, but that doesn't make it opensource.

What makes it opensource, it allows you to rebrand it, package it, customize it, and Sell it.

Download the Kernel and rebrand it too harikrishnagooti kernel and sell it for a profit. Because its open source, your not breaking the law as long as you leave the credits attached to the code.

May not be the best definition, but read the wiki provided.

Very incomplete. Read the license.

for anyone who distributes the code and modifications is also required to give the recipient the source code and the modifications just as the seller received source code.
