You can download the .iso from the lqiso.org MEPIS
directory. Try that one out - if OO.org doesn't work on it then it may possibly be an incompatibility with your computer, or downloading it off one of the MEPIS-recognised iso mirrors: like this one
. Download the file SimplyMEPIS-3.3.1-1.iso
, and once you have it, open up the iso in either Nero (on Linux or Windows), or K3B (I prefer this one), to write the image to the CD. It will fit onto a CD-R, but you have to remember to burn the image
, rather than just dragging the image onto the CD-R (just in case you didn't know
